Where can I park?
- Wagga Wagga rooms have 24 car spaces at the back of the newly built consulting rooms.
- In Griffith, the Kookora Surgery has ample street parking.
- St Vincent’s Private Community Hospital Griffith has ample off street parking and hospital parking available.
Do I need a referral?
Yes. You will need a valid referral from your doctor prior to getting an appointment with Dr Jancewicz. This is a Medicare requirement and our staff aren’t able to offer appointment dates or surgery dates without a valid referral.
What do I need to bring to my first appointment?
- Referral letter
- All relevant blood tests,
- Any CT Scans, MRI and Ultrasound reports
- A list of your current medications
- Private health Insurance card
Do you bulk bill?
No
Will I get a rebate from Medicare for the consultation fees?
Yes. A valid referral from your doctor allows our staff to process your Medicare rebate on the day or, if you prefer, issue you with a receipt to claim a rebate from any Medicare office. Alternatively, you may wish to download the free Medicare Express Plus App to your mobile device.
I don’t have private health insurance. What costs can I expect?
A standard consultation fee will apply for your office appointment, however if your procedure is booked through Wagga Wagga base Hospital, all costs will be covered by Medicare. After your consultation, you will be put on a waiting list and later contacted by hospital staff with a date and a time for your procedure.
I have private health insurance. What costs can I expect?
- Private health insurance entitles you to three things:
- Your choice of surgeon
- Your choice of private hospital
- Your choice of procedure date
- Private health insurance covers private hospital expenses, but only a small portion of the fees charged by your anaesthetist, surgeon and providers of pathology and radiology services. The bulk of these fees are met by Medicare.
- Any ‘out-of-pocket’ fees from Dr Jancewicz (that portion not covered by your health insurance and Medicare) will be explained to you on the day of booking by our staff. This estimate will also be given to you in writing as Informed Financial Consent is a legal requirement.
